Poor Peyton!

It breaks my little heart to hear that Peyton Manning has undergone another neck surgery and could be out for at least 2 or 3 months.  As far as quarterbacks go, Peyton is elite.  He's smart, he knows how to read the field and make big plays, and he seems like a nice dude.  Even after being with the Colts for 13 years, he is still one of the best playmakers out there.  It seems like a shame that an injury is going to keep him from the majority of the 2011 season, if not finish his career.

As a Titans fan, I'm looking forward to the Colts season for a couple of reasons.  1. I love Kerry Collins and I'm glad to see that he'll be able to fill in for Peyton until he's healed.  I think Kerry still has some fight left in him and it's good the Colts chose to see that too.  2. The other part of me hopes Kerry and the Colts won't gel, opening up a spot in the AFC South for the Titans to swoop in and claim the top seat.  Though I still hold a grudge toward the Titans organization for their off-season personnel choices, I still want them to succeed.

However, I truly hope that Peyton can come back from this injury and play better than ever.  It would be a shame to watch a whole season without him.

Who doesn't love Peyton Manning?  From his vast talent as the quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts to his hilarious TV commercials, I find it impossible to resist him.  He might not be the best looking guy out there, but his sense of humor more than makes up for it.

Another loss, another chance to eat my words

So, the Titans lost.  Again.  I didn't get to watch the game, as I was doing more important stuff (i.e. getting my nails done), but I listened to a lot of it on the radio.

All I have to say is this: if they would have shown up and played the game during the first half, they would have won.  I was very surprised, and quite happy, to see the offense do so well in the second half.  I finally got a good game out of Chris Johnson!  But the defense failed me miserably.  I got a big ZERO points out of them.  Maybe I should have hoped for Cortland to get a bit more vicious.

I was happy to see Peyton get back to playing like Peyton.  319 passing yards, 2 touchdowns, no interceptions.  Good on you, Mr. Manning.

As much as I was pulling for a win from the Titans, I'm okay with a loss to the Colts.  I need the Colts to get their shit together and take down Jacksonville.  I'm not okay with them being the division leaders.

Now, let's just send positive thoughts to the Jets for their matchup against the Dolphins this weekend.  Don't let me down, Mark and Nick!
